Data Not Collected.

SwitchBack for macOS runs entirely on your Mac. It makes no network requests, contains no analytics, has no accounts, and the text you convert never leaves your device. That is what its App Store listing declares, under Data Not Collected.

The app

• -Keyboard-layout conversion happens locally, against a static mapping table built into the app.
• -No servers, no cloud, no sync, and no crash reporting or telemetry of any kind.
• -Your preferences (interface language, launch at login, automatic keyboard switching) are stored only inside the app's sandbox on your Mac.
• -The app's only entitlement is com.apple.security.app-sandbox - no Accessibility access, no Input Monitoring, no clipboard access.

This website and the waiting list

• -Before launch this site had a waiting-list form. It was removed before any address was ever submitted, and no email address was ever stored.
• -The site uses no tracking cookies and no profile-based advertising.
• -Our hosting provider records anonymous page-view counts (the page, the referrer, and an approximate country) - no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personal identification. This concerns the website only, never the app, which still makes no network request at all.
